Privacy Policy
EmpowerMyCare is an organizational tool operated by Hydromation Corporation that helps families and informal care teams stay coordinated around a loved one's care — medications, appointments, tasks, and contacts. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
Account information
- Name and email address (to create your account and send care-related notifications).
- Password hash (we never see or store your plaintext password).
- Phone number only if you voluntarily provide it to receive SMS alerts. See our SMS Terms for SMS-specific disclosures.
Care content you enter
- Information about the person you're coordinating care for — name, birth year (optional), medications, appointments, doctors/providers, tasks, and notes. You decide what to enter; you can archive or remove entries at any time.
- Files and photos you upload (e.g., prescription photos, insurance cards). Stored in our hosting provider's encrypted object storage.
Care team membership
- Names, roles, and contact info of people you invite to the care team. We only use this information to deliver the notifications those people have opted into.
Automatic technical data
- Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent). Used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- No ad-tech cookies. No cross-site tracking.
3. How we use your information
- Operate the EmpowerMyCare service and deliver the features you use.
- Send notifications (email and, if opted in, SMS) about care team activity — invitations, assigned tasks, upcoming appointments.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use care content to train AI models.
4. Service providers we rely on
EmpowerMyCare runs on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers. Each is bound by written contracts that restrict their use of your data to providing the service to us:
- Supabase — application database, authentication, file storage.
- Netlify — static hosting and content delivery for the EmpowerMyCare web app.
- Cloudflare — DNS and edge caching.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (we pass your email address and the message content).
- Twilio — SMS delivery (only if you opted into SMS; we pass your phone number and message content).
- Stripe — payment processing (if you subscribe).
- Microsoft 365 — our staff inbox for replies to
alerts@empowermycare.netandsupport@.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access & correction — you can view and edit almost everything you've entered directly in the app.
- Export — email privacy@empowermycare.net to request a copy of your data.
- Deletion — you can archive entries in-app; to permanently delete your entire account and associated records, email us. We will delete within 30 days unless we are required by law to retain something longer.
- Email opt-out — every notification email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also toggle categories in Settings → Notifications.
- SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any SMS from us. See SMS Terms.
- California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut residents — you have additional rights under state privacy laws (access, deletion, correction, opt-out of sale/sharing — which we don't do anyway). Contact us to exercise them.
6. Data security
We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt data at rest on our hosting providers, and apply row-level access controls so care teams can only see records they've been invited to. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we design for least-privilege access and minimal data collection.
7. Children
EmpowerMyCare is intended for adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email privacy@empowermycare.net and we will delete it.
8. International users
EmpowerMyCare is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify registered users of material changes by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
